    Anyone discover anyone/anything interesting?

I've always had a few songs by The Velvet Underground from soundtracks, but have finally decided to dive into the deep end. Bought the Peel Slowly And See box set that includes their four main albums from the Lou Reed era of the band.

Really diggin' their stuff. Don't know why I haven't done so before, they're just my style.

Tom Waits has a new album coming out on October 25th, entitled Bad As Me. A song of the same name has been released in full, sounds like the Waits I know and love. Looking forward to the whole album.

    "Change" (Tears for Fears)
    "Mountains O' Things" (Tracy Chapman)

Any other great uses of marimba?

Portugal. The Man - People Say
Danger Mouse & Danielle Lupi featuring Jack White - Two Against One
Florence and the Machine - Lungs (album)
Fitz and the Tantrums - Pickin' Up The Pieces (album)
Foster The People - Torches (album)

They definitely have very different voices, but for some reason Florence + The Machine makes me think of what Loreena McKennitt would be like if she were to go mainstream.
